Map your access, the driveway and the trailer
On the lake the move is decided by the driveway and the carry down to the water, not the kilometres, and the boat or van often comes too. Tell us how your block sits and what tows behind, and we will show you the crew, the truck and the tow your move actually needs, honestly.
A level move at the kerb: two movers and a truck handle it comfortably.
Three kinds of lake access, three kinds of crew
However your block sits, the move falls into one of three shapes, and the tow is planned on top. This is how we resource each one, so the price reflects the real work and there are no surprises on the day.
Direct carry
A truck stops near the door and the carry is short and level. The standard crew of two movers and one truck moves the home efficiently. Any trailer is hitched and towed in the same run.
Long drive or a part-shuttle
A long driveway, a small-truck-only street, or a slope down to the door. We add a mover, or run a smaller shuttle vehicle for the drive, so the day still runs to time. A separate tow vehicle handles the boat or van.
Waterfront shuttle and a bigger crew
A waterfront door below the street, steps to the water, or no truck access at all. Everything is carried up to a truck parked on the street, with a larger crew and more time. Tow assets are staged and moved around the access.
About the planner
Is this my final quote?
No. It is an honest read on the crew, truck and tow your access calls for, so the quote is accurate and the day has no surprises. Send the planner result with your enquiry and we will price the move on your real address, both ends.
Why does a waterfront block cost more than a flat street?
Carrying a loaded fridge or a lounge down to a below-road home and back up empty is slower and harder on the crew than the same carry on the flat. Waterfront blocks with steps to the door are the most demanding move on the lake, which is why we plan them carefully rather than guess on the day.
Do you really move the boat and caravan too?
Yes. On the lake it is normal for a move to include a boat on a trailer, a jet-ski, a tinnie or a caravan. We coordinate the tow and the timing into the one move so everything arrives together and you are not chasing a separate mob to shift each thing. Tick what you have and we factor it into the plan and the quote.
What if a truck genuinely cannot get near my home?
That is common on the narrow lake-edge lanes and the steep waterfront blocks. We park a truck where it is legal up on the street and shuttle your belongings to it with a smaller vehicle and extra hands. The planner flags this so it is costed up front, not discovered on moving day.
